COVID-19 Response

March 13, 2020

In response to the current COVID-19 situation, the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) wants to assure you that the health and safety of our community is of utmost importance and we remain focused on supporting military families.

Individual appointments through our Mental Health Services, Veteran Family Program, Deployment Program, and Special Needs Inclusion Program will continue unless otherwise stated. Coordinators are working to develop ways to meet with clients virtually.

As of this point and until further notice, all Trenton MFRC branches in Trenton, Belleville, and Batawa remain open. Our child care centres will remain open with regular hours, however, our main reception in Trenton will close at 1700 until March 30, 2020.

The health and safety precautions we are taking include, but are not limited to:

  • All group programs will be suspended/postponed until March 30, 2020. This includes casual child care and EarlyON programs.
  • Anyone entering any Trenton MFRC locations will be required to wash/sanitize their hands immediately.
  • Extra measures have been taken to enhance our cleaning/sanitizing regimens, specifically in high-touch areas.

Please be aware that this is an evolving situation and more changes may come. We will work hard to ensure that you have the most recent information as soon as possible. Please refer to our Facebook and Twitter pages and our website for future updates.

For questions about COVID-19, please refer to the Public Health Agency of Canada’s website:

Again, we have the health and safety of our community in mind, and we will continue to work hard to support military families.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.
